BIO

Eric Holland is a designer and craftsman based in Wimberley, Texas.

He was educated at Rutgers University, where he was awarded a degree in Landscape Architecture.

The early part of Eric’s career was focused on the study of the carpentry arts inclusive of framing, interior trim and cabinets. Over time, he evolved into a design / build contractor; managing and physically implementing the remodel and landscape designs he was commissioned to create.

In recent years, he has turned his focus to product development and light manufacturing.

In 2009, he developed and patented an instrument known as the Black Swan drum with percussionist Mike Meadows. This led to the creation of Swan Percussion, which offers an extended line of percussion instruments. The Swan brand is recognized worldwide.

Eric splits his time between his various projects, and commissioned works. He leads a team of independent woodworkers in a 5000 sq ft production facility. The team collaborates in the fabrication of everything from instruments to fine furnishings.

Upcoming projects include the re-release of Fat Congas (purchased 2013 by Swan Percussion), and Hill Country Urns.

Eric continues to accept commissions / projects both locally and abroad.

Eric spends his ‘free’ time engaged in thought, typically with a cat nearby or upon him…
